A six-member delegation of China’s Institute of Asia-Pacific Studies (IAPS) led by its director Prof. Zhang Yuyan is arriving Friday for a five day research study of Nepal’s contemporary socio-economic situation.
The delegation of IAPS, an inter-regional think tank of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), is visiting Nepal at the invitation of China Study Center-Nepal (CSC-Nepal), a press statement issued by CSC-Nepal said Thursday.
IAPS delegation is scheduled to meet and interact with Nepali state and non-state organisations dealing with academic, economic planning, political and foreign affairs, the statement said.
The IAPS-CASS delegation includes senior research fellows: Prof. Li Jingjie, former Director, Institute of Russian, Eastern European and Central Asian Studies; Prof. Li Xiangyang, Institute of World Economics and Politics; Dr. Zhao Jianglin, Head of Division of Economic Studies, IAPS; Dr. Zang Jie, Head of Division of Security Studies, IAPS and Ye Hailin, Division of Cultural Studies, IAPS, according to the CSC-Nepal.
